Winter Luftbilder Amrum - Das Gebiet ist ein bedeutender Lebensraum für zahlreiche Seevogelarten. | Das Gebiet ist ein bedeutender Lebensraum für zahlreiche Seevogelarten, darunter Silber- und Heringsmöwen, die in den Dünen in großen Kolonien brüten, sowie stark gefährdete Arten wie die Zwergseeschwalbe und der Sandregenpfeifer an der Nordspitze. Auch Kegelrobben und Seehunde nutzen den Strand als Ruheplatz, wobei im Winter manchmal junge Kegelrobben beobachtet werden können. Von der Aussichtsplattform in den Dünen aus haben Besucher einen spannenden Einblick in das Vogelleben und einen weiten Blick auf die Nachbarinseln Föhr und Sylt.
